Bring Me To The Water
Rest your eyes, child. Listen to thy father.
One must be one with self before becoming
stronger. Time is measured by distance,
staying awake will only make you wait much longer.
Dive into deep slumber.
Let me bring you to the water.
You must know that the reflection you see is not
the same as today, but of times that passed your way.
This will remind you of where you were
and, in due time, where you might stay.
Come, let me bring you to the water.
Cast your pride to the side.
Strip your thoughts of anything that is
of this physical life.
Look into the water and see beyond
the natural visual eyes.
See yourself for not who you were,
nor whom you are, but what you will become.
Look deep into your reflection.
Become both the clay and potter,
but you must cry a river before I can bring
you to the water.
